: Another one...Is Alice in Chains > Nirvana?
Both are Seattle bands that became popular around the same time. Both bands had lead singers that died tragically. Why is Nirvana remembered for being so groundbreaking, when Alice in Chains was just as good, if not better musically and lyrically, than Nirvana? If Kurt Cobain died in 2004 instead of 1994, would we hold Nirvana in the same reverence?
